Elder Robert Arthur Walker Jr. was born in Daytona Beach Florida on January 18, 1951 to the late Robert Arthur Walker Sr. and the late Pauline Arnetta Walker. He has two brothers and three sisters. Elder Walker attended the Daytona Beach Public Schools. After graduation, he attended Daytona Beach Community College on a basketball scholarship.
January 5, 1974, Elder Walker started working for the United States Postal Service retiring October 31, 2009. In August 1981, he was baptized in Jesus name and received the Holy Ghost at Oak Grove Holiness Church in New Smyrna Beach Florida. Later that same year, Elder Walker married the former Patricia Ann Wood.
In 1982, Elder Walker began writing and reciting poems and readings throughout the state of Florida. In December of 1988, he was called to the ministry and preached his trial sermon. By 1990, Elder Walker was ordained as an Elder of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World in Miami, Florida. Dr. Earl Parchia, Presiding Bishop of the Florida State Council of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, officiated the ordination. He and his wife Patricia became therapeutic foster parents in 1996 and adopted their daughter, Brittany in April 1998.
In that same year, Elder Walker, along with his wife, Patricia founded the Helping Hand Ministry of Hope, Inc. Helping Hand Ministry of Hope is a non-profit organization designed to help needy children that reside in the New Smyrna Beach area. He is a former associate minister and one of the founding trustees, former Superintendent of the Sunday School Department and Sunday School Teacher at the Apostolic Faith Temple Church in New Smyrna Beach Florida. In 2008, he founded Let the Work Speak Bible Study Group in South Daytona, Florida where he taught the apostolic doctrine. Presently, Elder Walker is the Pastor of Helping Hand Ministry of Hope, Inc.
